■ Company history

1897Yamashita Hardware Shop opened in Taipei, Taiwan. The name was later changed to Yamashita Trading.
Until 1945The company name was changed to Yamashita Industrial Co., Ltd. in 1927. Operated businesses selling, importing, and manufacturing industrial machinery in Japan and overseas, however the overseas businesses were closed at the end of the war.
1948Yamasan Co., Ltd. was established in Ogori Town, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Sold industrial machinery and heavy electrical machinery to government ministries and companies in various industries.
1951Opened the Hiroshima Office in Hiroshima City (name changed to the Hiroshima Branch in 1978).
1953Opened the Shimonoseki Office in Hiroshima City (name changed to the West Japan Branch in 1982).
1957Opened the Ube Office in Ube City and the Fukuyama Sub-Branch in Fukuyama City (name changed to the Fukuyama Office in 1978).
1960Opened the Tokyo Office in Tokyo (name changed to the Tokyo Branch in 1978), the Osaka Sub-Branch in Osaka (name changed to the Osaka Office in 1978), and the Tokuyama Office in Tokuyama City.
1975Opened the Bihoku Sub-Branch in Miyoshi City (name changed to the Bihoku Office in 1987).
1981The river-related development divisions became independent and Sansui Machinery Co., Ltd. was established.
1985Opened the Shimane Sub-Branch in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture (name changed to the Shimane Office in 1990).
1987Opened the Iwakuni Office in Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
2006Opened the Higashihiroshima Office in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
2007Changed the name of the West Japan Branch to the Shimonoseki Office.
